Dr. Karthik Raghavan brings to Arizona 20 years of diverse surgical experience. With his own unique approach to patient centric care, he is a compassionate healer and a passionate patient advocate. He is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon, a lifelong student and teacher and most importantly a surgeon who cares for his patients with the same commitment as he would for his family. He is a firm believer in a holistic approach to healthcare focused on patient engagement and empowerment.
His areas of expertise are advanced robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, general surgery, colorectal surgery, acute care surgery and endoscopy including both therapeutic and screening colonoscopies.
He lives in Scottsdale with his wife - also a physician, and their two children. In his free time he enjoys traveling with his family and is an avid runner and hiker.

Currently, elective surgeries and appointments are proceeding based on evolving guidelines from our hospitals and surgicenters but this may be further curtailed by any updated information/responses regarding COVID-19 by the health care services as the days progress.

"I walked into John C Lincoln with nausea and was admitted for emergency appendicitis that same night. Dr. Raghavan performed the surgery at 10pm after making sure I understood what I was getting into. The appendix burst during surgery, but the doctor was able to keep the procedure as least invasive as possible. Dr. Raghavan then checked on me every day while I was forced into a relatively extended hospital stay due to the unexpected complications. His straight forward approach is something I appreciated... but that isn't to say he has lost the human aspect of his profession. I've no doubt Dr. Raghavan saved my life that night as I was a ticking timebomb."
